AHC (Adventist Healthcare)
Adventist HealthCare has been serving in the community for more than 100 years (established in 1907) and is the largest medical organization in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. They operate three general hospitals, cancer centers, as well as several clinics in the region. The organization is also rebuilding a general hospital in the Washington D.C. area that is soon to be opened.

With 1,718 medical staff as well as 5,500 others who are caring for patients on a daily basis, Adventist HealthCare provides the best medical environment in the Maryland community and the Washington D.C. region.

Currently, NurseConnect is opening two interview sessions per year with Adventist HealthCare (May/ November). When you successfully passed the interview, you will be assigned to Shady Grove Medical Center or White Oak Medical Center.
Shady Grove Medical Center
Shady Grove Medical Center was established in Rockville, Maryland, in 1979 as one of the Adventist HealthCare’s general hospital. This hospital has 443 beds, with private and double patients’ rooms, with Adventist Aquilino Cancer Center.

Shady Grove Medical Center, which has a State-of-the-Art surgical department with honored by The Joint Commission Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, Gold Seal of Approval for Total Hip and Knee Joint Replacement, etc., is the most trusted hospital in the community.
White Oak Medical Center
As one of the general hospitals under Adventist HealthCare, it is a Medical Center newly introduced in 2019. This hospital has 180 private bedrooms and has State-of-the-Art medical equipment.

It is rated three-star, the highest in Society for Thoracic Surgeons, and the first Comprehensive Cardiac Center in Montgomery County, the White Oak Medical Center, is becoming the best general hospital in the region.
Maryland
The state of Maryland has a main population of about 6 million and is between the states Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. region, as well as the Atlantic Ocean.

It is also called the "America in Miniature" for its abundant water resources and natural sceneries. Maryland has historically developed together since the British settlement and has many historical sites. It’s largest and most famous city is Baltimore. The state capital is Annapolis.

Adventist HealthCare is located in Montgomery County and is known for its high standard of living and education due to the large number of public officials and politicians who live there but work in Washington D.C. It is also known for its famed educational institutions: The United States Naval Academy, Johns Hopkins University, The University of Maryland, and The Maryland Institute College of Art. Georgetown University is only a short distance from the Maryland/D.C. line in Washington DC.

It is also an area where many Koreans live, referring to Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. as DMV (or MVD, or VMD as preferred). There are many Korean commercial districts and Korean churches. Hence, it is an excellent place for Koreans to easily settle, assimilate, and become acquainted in the U.S. Also, Washington D.C. is but a stone’s throw away and has many national museums, concert halls, and landmarks. It has a welcoming blend of cultural and leisurely.
